Conditions

Summary

This is a prospective, single-site, non-randomized, interventional study. The purpose is to collect electrocardiographic (ECG) and echocardiographic (echo) parameters and computed tomography (CT) images (optional) during Bachmann's bundle area pacing (BBAP) and conventional pacing in the right atrial appendage (RAA) to compare the differences between atrial pacing modalities and to further investigate the clinical outcomes of BBAP.

Eligibility

Min Age: 18 Years

Plain Language Summary

Simplified for easier understanding

This study evaluates a newer way of placing a pacemaker lead called Bachmann's bundle area pacing (BBAP), which aims to stimulate the heart in a more natural, coordinated way compared to conventional pacing methods. Traditional pacing can sometimes cause the heart to beat in an uncoordinated manner over time, leading to weakened heart function. This study records ECG (heart rhythm tracing) and echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) results before and after implantation to understand how this technique affects the heart's electrical activity and pumping function over time. **You may be eligible if...** - You are 18 or older - You need a new pacemaker for atrial pacing, dual-chamber pacing, or cardiac resynchronization therapy - You have agreed to receive Bachmann's bundle area pacing **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You are replacing or upgrading an existing pacemaker (not a new implant) - You need a defibrillator device (ICD) - You are pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the study - You are already enrolled in another interfering clinical trial Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.

This is a simplified summary. Always discuss eligibility with your doctor before enrolling in a clinical trial.

Interventions

PROCEDUREBBAP and RAA pacing

Bachmann's bundle area pacing and conventional pacing in the right atrial appendage during regular pacemaker implantation procedures are applied for acute electrocardiogram and echocardiogram testings.
