Clinical Validity of the DANU Sports System for Gait and Balance Assessment in Parkinson's Disease

This study is testing whether a wearable sensor system called DANU Sports accurately measures gait (how you walk) and balance in people with Parkinson's disease, compared to standard clinical methods. **You may be eligible if...** - You are 50 years or older (for the Parkinson's group) - You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease by a movement disorder specialist (stages I–III) - You are able to walk and stand without assistance for at least 2 minutes - You can travel to Northumbria University in Newcastle for study visits - Healthy adults with no Parkinson's diagnosis are also welcome as controls **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have another neurological condition (such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, or Alzheimer's disease) - You are unable to walk or stand unaided - Your cognitive score (MoCA test) is below 21 - You have significant mobility issues unrelated to Parkinson's (e.g., severe back pain or recent surgery) Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
