EMDR Integrative Group Protocol and Individual Treatment for Patients With Cancer: A Pilot Study

This pilot study is testing a type of psychological therapy called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) — delivered both in groups and individually — for cancer patients who are experiencing PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) as a result of their cancer diagnosis or treatment. EMDR is a structured therapy that helps people process traumatic memories. **You may be eligible if:** - You have been diagnosed with cancer - You are experiencing significant trauma-related symptoms, with a score of 32 or higher on the Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R) — a standard measure of PTSD symptoms **You may NOT be eligible if:** - You are already receiving specialized trauma therapy - You are currently on psychiatric medications unless your dose has been stable for at least 2 months Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
