NEGR1/RPL31P12 gene polymorphisms may influence the comparative efficacy of antidepressant monotherapy versus combination therapy (antidepressant + metformin) in Pakistani patients. Patients with certain variants may respond better or worse to antidepressants and may have different weight outcomes.
