Pediatric Arm of DZL All Age Asthma Cohort

This study follows children with asthma or recurrent wheezing to better understand how these breathing conditions develop and change over time in kids from infancy through age 18. **You may be eligible if...** - Your child is between 6 months and 18 years old - Your child was born at full term (at least 37 weeks) - Your child (ages 6 months to under 6 years) has had more than two episodes of wheezing in the past 12 months - Your child (age 6 or older) has been diagnosed with asthma by a doctor - You and your child understand German well enough to participate - Parents can provide informed consent; children over age 8 can also give their agreement **You may NOT be eligible if...** - Your child has a known lung condition present from birth (such as cystic fibrosis or primary ciliary dyskinesia) - Your child has had significant breathing problems related to heart disease - Your child required oxygen or mechanical breathing support after birth for more than 24 hours - Your child has a fever of 38.5°C or higher in the two weeks before the first visit - Your child has a non-allergic ongoing illness Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
