This study is collecting data on pregnant women and their babies to study how the microorganisms living in the gut and other body areas (microbiome) may be linked to preeclampsia — a serious condition during pregnancy causing high blood pressure — and to help develop better ways to screen for it. **You may be eligible if...** - You are 18 years or older - You are pregnant with a single baby (not twins or more) - You are willing to attend regular prenatal check-ups at the study site - You can provide informed consent **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You had high blood pressure, diabetes, liver, kidney, or blood disease before pregnancy - You have a history of preeclampsia - You conceived through IVF (in vitro fertilization) - You have an active infection requiring long-term medications - You have a medical reason to end the pregnancy early Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
