Enhancing Purpose and Well-Being Through a Volunteering Experience Connecting Veterans With English Language Learners

This study is testing whether a volunteering program that connects military veterans with English language learners (immigrants or refugees learning English) can improve veterans' sense of purpose, well-being, and mental health. Veterans coach the language learners via video calls. **You may be eligible as a veteran if:** - You are 18 years or older - You are a fluent English speaker - You have been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, or PTSD in the past 12 months - You are able to participate in video calls using a smartphone, tablet, or computer **You may NOT be eligible as a veteran if:** - You have schizophrenia, dementia, or traumatic brain injury that significantly affects your ability to participate - You have significant sensory impairment - You have active alcohol or drug dependence that would affect your participation **You may be eligible as an English language learner if:** - You are 18 or older and are learning English - You are able to participate in video calls Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
