CPRIT: Patient Adherence to Lung Cancer Screening

This study is looking at why some high-risk patients who have been ordered a lung cancer screening scan (low-dose CT) do not follow through with it — and testing ways to help more people complete their screening. **You may be eligible if...** - You are a current smoker or have quit within the past 15 years - You have smoked at least 20 pack-years (for example, one pack per day for 20 years, or two packs per day for 10 years) - You are in good enough health that treatment would be appropriate if cancer were found - You have a referral for lung cancer screening at UTMB or UT Tyler **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You do not have an order for a screening scan at the participating sites Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
