Leveraging Lung Cancer Screening to Optimize Screening Outcomes and COPD Management: COPD in LCS Registry

This study is creating a registry of people who qualify for lung cancer screening to also study and improve the management of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), since smokers at risk for lung cancer often also have undiagnosed or poorly managed COPD. **You may be eligible if...** - You are between 50 and 80 years old - You currently smoke or used to smoke, with a history of at least 20 pack-years - You have had a clinical lung cancer screening CT scan at the University of Michigan within the past year - You have a prior COPD diagnosis, previous lung function tests showing COPD, or respiratory symptoms that may indicate COPD **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You are not eligible for standard lung cancer screening - You are unwilling to be contacted about future studies - You are unable to provide informed consent or tolerate study procedures Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
