Summary

The PRO-ACTIVE study aims to develop a clinical-translational program in the field of cancer prevention in all its phases (primary, secondary, and tertiary) to intervene before the clinical and radiological manifestation of the disease. It starts with risk prediction and leads to early diagnosis of the disease or recurrence in the subclinical phase. The PRO-ACTIVE study includes the following activities: * WP1: Integrated DNA-RNA approach for the identification of hereditary markers of predisposition to tumors * WP2: Global biological and molecular analysis of the host and tumor for the prevention and monitoring of recurrences * WP3: Analysis of the immunological status for the diagnosis of primary prevention and relapses in correlation to genetic and environmental factors * WP4: Study of the tumor microenvironment for recurrence prediction

Plain Language Summary

Simplified for easier understanding

This study is collecting biological, genetic, and health data from cancer patients to better understand the personal risk factors for cancer and how to monitor patients non-invasively over time. The goal is to use this information to improve cancer risk assessment and monitoring tools. **You may be eligible if...** - You are over 18 years old - You have been diagnosed with one of the following: breast cancer (including those eligible for BRCA genetic testing or with lobular breast cancer), radically resected colon cancer (stage III or with vascular invasion), ovarian carcinoma, metastatic melanoma, or stage IIB–IIIA non-small cell lung cancer **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You are under 18 years old - You are unwilling or unable to provide informed consent Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
