Older Breast Cancer Patients: Risk for Cognitive Decline

This study is examining whether older women being treated for breast cancer are at greater risk of memory and thinking problems (cognitive decline) during and after treatment, and what factors might predict who is most at risk. **You may be eligible if...** - You are a woman aged 60 or older - You have been newly diagnosed with breast cancer (stages 0–3) confirmed by tissue testing, or are planning to receive treatment before surgery - You are able to communicate in English well enough to complete the study assessments - If taking psychiatric medications (such as antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications), your dose has been stable for at least 2 months **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have a previous diagnosis of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or another condition known to cause cognitive problems - You cannot communicate in English sufficiently - You are younger than 60 - You have stage 4 (metastatic) breast cancer Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
