This study is investigating whether blood sugar fluctuations (going up and down) in people with prediabetes affect thinking, memory, and brain function, even before a full diabetes diagnosis is made. **You may be eligible if...** - You are 50 years of age or older - You have at least an 8th grade education **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have already been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes - You are taking any medications for diabetes (including insulin or steroids with diabetes-like effects) - You have serious chronic conditions (heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, recent cancer) - You have a neurological condition (Parkinson's, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis) - You have a history of dementia - You have HIV, serious mental illness, or heavy alcohol use Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
