This study (MOVE-HF) tests whether a behavioral economics-based program — using incentives and nudges delivered through a smartphone app — can motivate people with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF, a type of heart failure where the heart pumps normally but is too stiff) to become more physically active. **You may be eligible if...** - You are 18 or older with a confirmed diagnosis of HFpEF (ejection fraction ≥ 50%) - You have been hospitalized for heart failure, have elevated heart failure markers (BNP), or have other evidence of HFpEF - You own a smartphone or tablet with internet access - You can read English and provide informed consent - Your current daily step count is between 1,000 and 7,500 steps **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have a medical condition that prevents walking without assistance - You are already highly active (over 7,500 steps per day) - You are very inactive (under 1,000 steps per day) - You have severe valvular disease, recent cardiac surgery, end-stage kidney disease on dialysis, or advanced liver disease - You are enrolled in another physical activity study Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
