Estradiol and Intrusive Memories

This study examines how estradiol (a form of estrogen) affects the formation and intensity of intrusive memories — unwanted, distressing memories that pop into your mind involuntarily. The goal is to understand how hormones influence traumatic memory processes in healthy women. **You may be eligible if...** - You are a healthy female volunteer - You speak German at a B1 level or higher **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have or have had a mental health disorder (as defined by DSM-5) - You have any physical illness - You take any medications except oral contraceptives - You have a history of traumatic experiences such as sexual abuse or assault - You are pregnant or breastfeeding - You currently take oral contraceptives (in some study arms) Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
