This study examines blood flow patterns and sounds in arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) — surgically created connections between an artery and vein used for kidney dialysis. Researchers are using special imaging and sound analysis to better understand how these connections work and potentially predict problems before they happen. **You may be eligible if...** - You are between 18 and 90 years old - You have end-stage kidney disease and need a new vascular access (AVF) created, either because you are starting dialysis or preparing for it - Your first-choice treatment is a new forearm AVF **You may NOT be eligible if...** - There are medical reasons you cannot have an AVF created - You already have a failed AVF in the same arm - You have a pacemaker, metal implants, or other reasons you cannot have an MRI - You are already on dialysis through a catheter or graft - You are pregnant or have a life expectancy under 12 months Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
